How these rankings work

Each window (Today / This week / This month) lists the most-starred public repositories created inside that window, straight from the GitHub Search API.
Star growth is computed from Source Playbook’s own daily snapshots. When a period has no snapshot history yet, growth shows as “n/a” — we never estimate or invent a percentage.
Explanations are written to be readable without an engineering background. Every card links to the official repository — the code stays where it belongs, with its authors and its license.
Archived repositories and forks are excluded. Source Playbook is independent and not affiliated with GitHub.
